Kevin De Bruyne set for new Manchester City contract

Kevin De Bruyne set for new Manchester City contract

Manchester City are confident of sealing a new contract for star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, with talks of a new long-term contract.

De Bruyne still has three years left on his current contract at Manchester City, yet Pep Guardiola is confident that the club can seal his long-term future at the club.

The 29-year-old has become one of the best players in the Premier League after joining City from Wolfsburg back in 2015.

City are keen to keep De Bruyne and make him finish his career at the club, and whilst terms are yet to be agreed, extensions talks are progressing very well.

City have already reached out to De Bruyne's legal representatives and there is a willingness from both City and De Bruyne to extend the contract.

By signing a new contract, City will tie De Bruyne down and thus prevent any talk of a possible move away from the club, with him being linked with a blockbuster move to Real Madrid next summer.

So far this season, De Bruyne has already got a goal and an assist in three Premier League games, as he looks to repeat the tremendous numbers of last season, when he got 13 goals and 20 assists in 35 Premier League games.
