The combination of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku at Chelsea promises to be a thrilling partnership that can greatly enhance the team's attacking capabilities.

Both players bring unique skills and versatility to the squad, making them a perfect fit for Mauricio Pochettino's system.

Nkunku is most comfortable playing as an attacking midfielder, but he can also play as a winger, a second striker, or even as a false nine. He is a gifted dribbler and passer, and he has a knack for scoring goals. In the 2022-2023 season, he scored 23 goals and provided nine assists in all competitions for RB Leipzig. However, these stats do not show the Frenchman’s full potential, as he was injured for 135 days, mainly due to a knee injury.

Attacking midfielder:

This is Nkunku's best position, and he would be a great fit in Pochettino's system. He would be able to drift around the pitch and create chances for his teammates, and he would also be a threat to score goals himself.

Winger:

Nkunku is also a very good winger, and he could be used on either side of the attack. He has the pace and dribbling ability to beat defenders, and he can also create chances for his teammates.

Second striker:

Nkunku could also be used as a second striker, in a partnership with Jackson or any other striker that Chelsea might pursue in the transfer window. He would be able to drop deep and link up with the midfielders, and he would also be a threat to score goals in the box.

False nine:

As a false nine, Nkunku drops deep into midfield, often receiving the ball between the lines of the opposition's defence and midfield. This positioning allows him to exploit space and draw defenders out of position. Once in possession, Nkunku utilises his exceptional dribbling ability and close ball control to navigate through tight spaces and commit defenders.

No matter where he plays, Nkunku is sure to be a valuable asset for Chelsea. He is a versatile player with a lot of talent, and he has the potential to be a major success at the club.

Nkunku would be a perfect fit for Pochettino's preferred 4-2-3-1 formation.

Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson's arrival at Chelsea brings a breath of fresh air to the team's attacking options. At just 22 years of age, he is a versatile player capable of thriving in multiple positions, including as a left winger, right winger, or striker.

Jackson's skill set adds a new dimension to Chelsea's attacking prowess. In the 2022-23 season he scored 13 times and assisted a further five times. He was named the 2022-23 La Liga Breakthrough Player of the Year, Villarreal Player of the Season as well as the 2023 Senegalese Player of the Year.

Right wing:

Jackson would be a good fit for the right wing in a 4-3-3 formation. He would be able to use his pace to get past defenders and cross the ball into the box. He would also be able to cut inside and shoot on goal.

Left wing:

He is most comfortable playing on the left wing, where he can use his dribbling skills and pace to beat defenders and create chances for his teammates. He would also be able to link up with the team's fullback and help to create overloads on the left side of the attack.

Striker:

Jackson could also play as a striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation. He would be able to use his finishing ability to score goals, and he would also be able to drop deep and receive the ball between the lines. He would then be able to use his dribbling skills and passing ability to create chances for his teammates.

His versatility gives Chelsea tactical flexibility and attacking depth. With his speed, dribbling, passing, and goal-scoring instincts, he's an asset in various positions. As he develops, Jackson will elevate Chelsea's attack and contribute to the team's success.
