Chelsea are looking for a striker this summer, and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland is reportedly their top target, but they are also open for other options.

Haaland has been heavily linked with the Blues, but there has barely been any progress, with Dortmund reluctant to sell the Norwegian this summer, especially after losing Jadon Sancho to Manchester United earlier this month.

There have been indications that Chelsea could be set to include Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi as part of the deal to sign Haaland, yet the rumours are not substantial.

Apart from Haaland, Chelsea are also considering moves for Inter's Romelu Lukaku and Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, but the former is happy in Italy, and the latter could prove to be too expensive given the rivalry between the clubs.

As a result, The Athletic has claimed that VfB Stuttgart's Sasa Kalajdzic is one of the names on Thomas Tuchel's radar this summer.

The 24-year-old striker impressed a lot for Austria at Euro 2020 this summer, even scoring against Italy, and Chelsea are really interested in him.

However, they are yet to make a formal approach to sign him this summer, who managed to scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga last season.

Additionally, Stuttgart are under no pressure to sell him, and they are demanding £34 million for him, a very sizeable price tag considering that he will more than likely be utilised as backup.

Signing Kalajdzic could prove to be a great decision from Chelsea, with him still relatively young and offering something completely different to the likes of Timo Werner.

His height and aerial prowess would make him a very good replacement for Olivier Giroud, who has just joined AC Milan.

While it is difficult to broker a deal for Haaland, Chelsea are more confident in landing the signing of Kalajdzic, who has a contract with Stuttgart that expires in June 2023.
