Arsenal club captain Laurent Koscielny set for Ligue 1 move

Laurent Koscielny Arsenal Bordeuax transfer

Current Arsenal club captain, Laurent Koscielny, is set to return to France, with Ligue 1 side Bordeaux seemingly having a £5 million bid accepted by the London club.

Koscielny is set to have a medical with the French club prior to the deal being announced.

Whilst Arsenal tried to start negotiations with the player to get him signed up with a new deal, the Frenchman refused to sign and also refused to go on the club's pre-season tour in the United States.

According to reports, Koscielny submitted a transfer request as he wants to leave Arsenal for a return to France, and whilst he wants his contract to be terminated, Arsenal have refused to do so, as they want to get some money for the defender.

Laurent Koscielny injuries Arsenal Bordeaux

Koscielny joined Arsenal from Lorient back in 2010, and he was awarded with captaincy at the start of the 2016/17 season, yet plenty of injuries have resulted in him having to sit out plenty of games ever since his injury.

However, the Frenchman has gone on to make 353 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, winning the FA Cup on three occasions.
