Wolves are reportedly set to battle Aston Villa and several other sides for the signing of Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham during the summer transfer window.
According to a report from Football Insider, the future of the Chelsea forward is in major doubt after the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, with Villa and Wolves being the favourites to sign him.
Abraham has not featured in Chelsea's last seven Premier League games, even being left out of the squad against Brighton in midweek even though he was fully fit.
As a result, Abraham has attracted plenty of interest from the Premier League and all around Europe.
Football Insider have reported that a source from Wolves has claimed that they are in the race to sign Abraham, with them keen to add to their options up front, especially with Willian Jose struggling to replace Raul Jimenez effectively.
Nuno Espirito Santo is said to be a big admirer of Abraham, even submitting a bid of £18 million bid for him in January 2019 which was accepted by Chelsea.
However, Abraham decided to stay at Aston Villa, where he was on loan at for that campaign from Chelsea, thriving in the Championship.
Whilst Wolves are contenders for his signing, they will need to raise some funds through player sales before they are able to make any major signings this summer. Aston Villa have been linked with Abraham ever since he rejoined Chelsea from his loan spell during the 2018/19, where he scored 25 goals and provided three assists in 37 Championship games, as Villa got promoted to the Premier League through the Play-offs.
Despite barely featuring for Chelsea, Abraham is still the club's top scorer in all competitions this season, scoring 12 goals in 30 games.
