Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are facing competition from several sides to sign Napoli outcast Arkadiusz Milik, with the main competitor being Atletico Madrid, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The future of the Polish international is in doubt, with the forward's contract expiring at the end of the season, and according to reports, he has not intentions of signing a new contract at the club.
He has not played so far this season for Gennaro Gattuso's side, therefore it would not be surprising if he agreed to move in January, but whether it will be to leave immediately, or on a pre-contract deal, remains to be seen.
AS have stated that if Diego Costa leaves in January, Atletico Madrid will make the 26-year-old their top target.
Apart from Atletico Madrid, both Spurs and Everton are keen on signing Milik, as they seek more competition for the forward positions.
Spurs currently have Carlos Vinicius on loan at the club in order to compete with Harry Kane, and the Brazilian has impressed when given the chance, yet it is still uncertain whether they will sign him permanently or not.
Everton on the other hand are lighter up front, with the only competitors for the in-form Dominic Calvert-Lewin being Cenk Tosun and when Richarlison is played out of position.
With the lack of playing time that Milik has had, it will come as no surprise that many Spurs, Everton and Atletico fans are worried about the possibility of signing him in January, as he will surely find it difficult to get up to speed with regular playing-time.
Milik joined Napoli from Ajax in 2016, and since then he has scored 38 goals in 93 Serie A appearances, shining the most in 2018-19, where he scored 17 goals in 35 league games.
