Rui Patricio has been linked with a move away from Wolves this summer, and he has been tipped to move to Serie A, with him wanted by AS Roma.

The Wolves goalkeeper is represented by Gestifute, with this possibly being an advantage to Jose Mourinho when it comes to signing him given the Jorge Mendes links between them.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Patricio is being seen as one of the options for the goalkeeping position by Roma, with the report claiming that the Wolves goalkeeper is wanted by the Italian club, especially given his experience and the potentially cheap transfer fee.

The report adds that he has climbed the transfer list for Roma over 'the past few hours', as they seek to replace the struggling Pau Lopez and the departing Antonio Mirante.

Gazzetta refused to state any figures for the transfer fee, and it is highly unlikely that Wolves will let him go for a low fee given his importance in the side.

However, his contract ends in June 2022, and with him now being 33 and with Nuno Espirito Santo leaving the club, he could be tempted to leave Wolves after joining the club from Sporting CP in 2018.

Wolves will be looking to get a transfer fee in for him this summer if he does not sign a new contract, since he would be able to leave the club on a free transfer in 2022 if his situation is not sorted out.

Wolves will have to bring in a replacement for him if he does eventually leave, especially since backup goalkeeper John Ruddy's contract ends this summer.

Additionally, Roma are looking to sell Robin Olsen this summer, with Everton wanting to sign the Swedish goalkeeper on a permanent deal after spending this season on loan at Goodison Park.
