Mason Mount labels England debut alongside childhood friend as an 'unbelievable feeling' Declan Rice

Mason Mount fulfilled his lifelong dream of representing England, as he came on in the 67th minute instead of Jordan Henderson as England won 4-0 against Bulgaria on Sunday.

He also managed to fulfill his dream whilst playing alongside his childhood friend, Declan Rice, with the pair being team-mates for Chelsea at youth level.

Mount went on to say that "We've obviously known each other for a very, very long time and always speaking about maybe that opportunity of playing with each other again."

Mount could not believe that them playing together again could come for the national team, and he added that "It's obviously happened today so I went over to him straight away and just said 'well done, we're back on the pitch together', so, yeah, looking forward to the future now."

The Chelsea midfielder went on to say that it is "an unbelievable feeling" to play for England, calling it "something that you dream of as a little kid."

Mount has already scored two goals for Chelsea in just four Premier League games this season, after being brought up to first-team action by Frank Lampard, who was his manager last season at Derby County, where he spent a season loan at.
