Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku set to leave for Italian giants on loan

Romelu Lukaku had a relatively underwhelming second season at Manchester United, after what was a solid first season, and Italian giants, Inter Milan are reportedly set to get the Belgian for £9 million for a 2-season loan, before having an obligation to buy for £54.8 million.

According to Sky Sports, the Belgian has attracted major interest from Inter, who are looking to replace the departing Mauro Icardi, as Antonio Conte is a keen admirer of Lukaku.

Lukaku has spoken of wanting to play in Italy on several occasions, but his agent, Federico Pastorello, recently confirmed the interest in his client from Italy, most notably Inter. Pastorello said that "It's not impossible and Inter is trying hard" to get Lukaku.

Lukaku does not seem to fit the mould of counter-attacking football that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to set in place once again at Old Trafford, and maybe a move away to Italy is what the Belgian really needs to reach the heights of his Everton days once again.
