Manchester United offer AC Milan star five-year deal ahead of free transfer

Manchester United have reportedly offered a stunning contract that is five years long to AC Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu.
United are said to be very big fans of the 26-year-old, who has been linked with a possible move to England numerous times over the last few years.
According to reports, United have bit the bullet and offered the Turkish international a very lucrative five-year deal in order to strengthen in depth once more.
This move comes as Milan and Calhanoglu's representatives continue to discuss a possible contract with his current contract ending at the end of the season, allowing him to leave the club on a free.
If Calhanoglu is brought in by United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have no choice but to sell some of his other midfielders, with him having plenty of options in the middle of the park, which has led to recent signing Donny van de Beek to not start a single league game since his arrival.
The futures of the likes of Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira will all be in doubt if the Turkish international comes to United, with the latter two especially not being in Solskjaer's plans.
Calhanoglu has had a remarkable time since football's restart, managing 10 goals and 12 assists in the 21 games that he has played in all competitions since the restart.
United will be welcoming rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, as they hope to take their impressive Champions League form into the Premier League.
