Manchester City have completed the signing of Portuguese right-back Joao Cancelo for £60 million, whilst Danilo has moved the other way to Juventus for £34.1 million.

Cancelo becomes Manchester City's third signing of the summer, after the signings of Angelino and Rodri.

The Portuguese international has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2025.

On his first interview, Cancelo said "City are a fantastic club, with a brilliant manager and I am delighted to be here." He also added that "Everything about them has impressed me, from the facilities, to their style of play."

On the other hand, Danilo agreed a five-year contract with Juventus, keeping him in Turin until 2024, and with his involvement in City winning back-to-back Premier League titles, Juventus have clearly valued him highly.

However, Danilo was used sparingly, often having to fill in for the injured Benjamin Mendy or when Kyle Walker was not available, and once Oleksandr Zinchenko found his place in the team as left-back, Danilo could not find a way into the team at all.
