Leeds United have reportedly been given the opportunity to sign promising Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah this summer, reports claim.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are looking to sell Nketiah this summer, and Leeds are one of the clubs interested, with him spending the 2019/20 season on loan with the Yorkshire club.

Leeds are currently chasing the signing of a new striker that can compete with Patrick Bamford. with Rodrigo struggling to offer such competition for most of the season, albeit ending the season in impressive form.

The report adds that Arsenal are willing to listen to offers to sell the English forward, especially since they are keen on raising funds to start their much-needed rebuild this summer.

Mikel Arteta has reportedly allowed the club to listen to offers for the 22-year-old, as long as the club's £20 million asking price is met.

Nketiah's current contract with Arsenal ends in the summer of 2022, and so the asking price might be seen as too high by several clubs, which will most probably lead to the Gunners lowering the fee in the future if a willing club is not found.

During his loan at Leeds, Nketiah struggled for regular football due to Bamford's impressive season as Leeds got promoted to the top-flight, with Nketiah featuring in 19 games during the half of the season that he spent on loan at Elland Road, scoring five goals in the process.

Since then, Nketiah has become a regular in Arsenal's first-team, making 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.

With just a year left on his contract, Arsenal will want to cash in on him if a good offer is put forward.
