Icardi wants to go back to Italy with Milan and Juventus on the radar

According to several reports, Mauro Icardi is not happy at Paris Saint-Germain, and wants to move back to the Serie A in Italy.

PSG have the option of signing Icardi permanently for £65 million, and the club's board have viewed him very highly and want him to stay, seeing him as Edinson Cavani's perfect replacement. Icardi has 20 goals in 31 appearances for PSG so far this season.

However, there have been growing rumours that Icardi has had a falling out with PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, and wants to go back to Italy, where he has made a name for himself as a top finisher. His main problem is that his parent club, Inter, will surely not take him, given his complicated situation with the club's fans, which led to him being stripped of his captaincy, mainly due to his wife, Wanda Nara, who is also his agent, and her antics.

Various reports have linked Icardi with moves to rivals AC Milan and Juventus, yet it is all still unclear. With his family still living in Milan, the favourable move would be to AC Milan, yet Juventus have been much more successful in recent years, and have the advantage of playing in the UEFA Champions League.

On the other hand, moving to Juventus would be risky, having to compete with Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain for a starting spot.

Whatever path Icardi opts to take, he will surely be hated by the Inter fans for choosing it.
