Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt has heaped praise on fellow team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, calling him 'the best of his generation', as well as adding that the Portuguese international is 'a huge example for young players'.
De Ligt has admitted that he is always trying to improve by watching Ronaldo, as "even in training he has a crazy intensity and you wonder if he really is 35 years old".
The 20-year-old signed for the club last summer, and has grown to becoming more accustomed to the high defensive requirements of the Serie A.
Despite being 35-years-old, Cristiano Ronaldo has had another very influential season, scoring 21 goals and providing three assists in 22 Serie A games.
Juventus are set to return to action on June 22 as they face Bologna away from home.
Juventus are currently top of Serie A, one point above fellow challengers, Lazio.
