Gareth Bale dropped from Real Madrid squad after title celebrations

Zinedine Zidane has dropped Gareth Bale from the Real Madrid squad for the final game of the season away at Leganes on Sunday July 19, just a few days after his awkward nature during the title celebration.

With Bale reportedly set to leave Real Madrid this transfer window, Bale has not kept his mood at the club secret, showing how isolated he is at the club.

As Real Madrid lifted the La Liga title against Villarreal last Thursday, Bale stood unamused on one side as the other players lifted Zidane.

As a result of his refusal to participate in such celebrations, the Welshman has been dropped from the whole squad for the game against Leganes, being preferred to other players.

Ever since the season resumed in June, Bale has made just two appearances for Real Madrid, not playing in their last six games.

However, he has still managed to capture the spotlight from on the bench, pretending to sleep with his mask on his eyes against Alaves, with him making a binoculars gesture against Granada.

Whilst this was a clear sign of his frustration at not playing, former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that it is an "unprofessional and disrespectful" act towards Real Madrid.

Bale is now set to leave the club more than ever before, with his relationship with Zidane going to even newer lows.

Reports are linking the Welshman with a move to former club Tottenham Hotspur, whilst also being linked with Newcastle United, if their proposed takeover is complete.

Several Italian clubs are also interested in him, with Inter the main contenders to sign the £350,000-a-week star.
