Fulham chasing former Everton forward on loan

Fulham chasing former Everton forward on loan

Fulham are currently searching for more reinforcements, and they are now closing in on a loan move for RB Leipzig winger Ademola Lookman.

The former England U21 international is set to return to the Premier League, after leaving Everton for Leipzig permanently in 2019 for around £22.5 million.

However, since joining Julian Nagelsmann joined Leipzig, Lookman has played just 300 minutes of Bundesliga football, not fitting the highly-rated German managers' system.

Nagelsmann admitted that Lookman "is very dissatisfied with his situation", as he "has to be convinced that this is the right path for him, even if the first year didn't go so well".

Fulham are now looking to sign the winger on an initial loan deal, with the deal also having an option to buy.

Scott Parker's side are already favourites to go down after just two games, yet getting Lookman might be a perfect signing for Fulham, especially considering their forward-thinking, attacking-minded football.

Lookman was touted as one of the brightest prospect in English football along with Tom Davies, when Everton smashed Manchester City 4-0 in 2017, yet things have not worked out as expected.

Whilst Lookman cannot start for Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Davies has now become a scapegoat amongst supporters for his underwhelming performances over the last few seasons.
