Everton to complete £24m Allan signing from Napoli

Everton are set to complete the signing of Napoli midfielder Allan for £24 million with the Brazilian arriving in England to complete his medical at the club.
The Brazilian has reportedly left Italy this morning, after Everton made a breakthrough in negotiations with Napoli over the weekend.
Allan has been a target for Carlo Ancelotti ever since the Italian arrived at Goodison Park, after the pair worked together at Napoli.
Everton have been focusing on increasing the quality in their midfield, with them also reportedly completing a deal for another one of Ancelotti's former players, James Rodriguez, who worked with the Italian whilst he was at Real Madrid.
With Everton set to confirm the signing of Allan, another target, Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, will probably not join the Toffees, with him having a similar play-style to the Brazilian.
Whilst the signing of James Rodriguez will entice Everton fans the most, they should be equally excited about the signing of Allan, who will add some much-needed stability in midfield, especially after the club sold outcast Morgan Schneiderlin to Nice earlier on this year for an undisclosed fee.
Last season, Allan was on the fringes of the squad after months of speculation over a possible transfer, making just 21 starts in all competitions, with 32 appearances in all competitions.
Allan made a name for himself as one of the best ball-winners in Serie A, both for Udinese and Napoli, making 2.5 tackles per game last season, despite not being involved as much as in other seasons.
