Real Madrid will be looking to continue their unbeaten run in all competitions when they travel to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday evening as they take on Getafe.
Zinedine Zidane's side are currently second in the table, one point behind leaders Atletico Madrid, while Getafe occupy 15th position, just four points outside of the relegation zone.
Team News
Getafe
Getafe are without a win in five games and are only four points above the drop zone. A meeting with Barcelona follows their match against Real Madrid, so Jose Bordalas' team could soon find themselves in a great deal of trouble.
No side in the division has scored fewer goals than Getafe this season, so the absence of forwards Cucho, Enes Unal and Dario Poveda doesn't help. Takefusa Kubo is also ineligible to face his parent club.
Real Madrid
The visitors have serious concerns in the defensive department with Sergio Ramos and Nacho Fernandez both unavailable. Raphael Varane may also be unable to make a recovery from COVID-19 in time for this match.
Madrid will also miss the services of defensive midfielder Casemiro, who was suspended in the Clasico. Eden Hazard is likely set to make a return who has been declared 100 percent fit and raring to go in.
Preview
Real Madrid suffered a lot this season but they are still in the race to win 2 major trophies. They moved to the semi-final of the UCL after successfully disposing off Liverpool. Los Blancos are only a point behind leaders Atletico as things stand, and they have four winnable league fixtures coming up against Getafe, Cadiz, Real Betis and Osasuna.
Real Madrid are set to be without a number of important players this weekend through injury and suspension, but they have not lost to Getafe in La Liga since November 2008 and will fancy their chances of putting another three important points on the board to continue their winning run.
Jose Bordalas side are facing a disappointing campaign this year, coming into this contest with a 5-game winless run.
Getafe's away record this season is the second-worst in Spain's top flight, picking up just 10 points from 14 matches, while they have lost their last three in the league against Los Blancos without scoring a goal.
