Bundesliga club to rival AC Milan for €60m forward
AC Milan are set to face competition in their race to sign Real Madrid's Luka Jovic, as the Serbian looks to leave the club in order to get regular football.
According to Kicker (via Transferzone on Twitter), Jovic is wanted by Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, meaning that the Serbian would return to the club he left for the Spanish side in a €60 million deal in 2019.
Recently, MilanNews reported that Milan are keen on signing Jovic, having a meeting recently with the 23-year-old's agent, Fali Ramadani, in order to monitor the player's situation more closely.
Milan want Jovic on loan for the rest of the season, also wanting an option to buy inserted in the deal.
However, Milan are yet to receive a response from the La Liga giants, and since the search for another striker option for Stefano Pioli's side is not the top priority, given they have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao all at the club, they could look at other positions.
As a result, Eintracht Frankfurt have jumped in to try and get their star striker back at the club that he flourished so much at in 2018/19, scoring 27 goals and providing seven assists in 48 games in all competitions.
Jovic has struggled greatly at Real Madrid, failing to nail down a spot in the side, particularly due to Karim Benzema's fine goalscoring returns over the last few years, and the Serbian has only registered two goals and two assists in 32 appearances for the Spanish side since his transfer.
