Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eyeing a move for Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is pushing for a move away from the London club.

The English winger has struggled for regular playing time under Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, making 11 starts last season under Tuchel as he battled with Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech for some minutes.

So far this season, Hudson-Odoi has only played in the UEFA Super Cup final, being on the bench for all three Premier League games played so far.

As a result, Sky Deutschland are now reporting that Borussia Dortmund are very interested in bringing in the 20-year-old on loan this season.

While the Bundesliga giants are yet to submit an official offer for him, they could open negotiations over the final few days of the transfer window.

The report also claims that Hudson-Odoi would consider a move to the Bundesliga due to his minutes at Chelsea being extremely limited.

The young winger has been of interest from Bundesliga clubs before, with him being linked with a potential move to Bayern Munich in recent seasons, until the German giants eventually signed Leroy Sane.

If Hudson-Odoi opts to make the switch to Dortmund, it would see him completely reverse his earlier decision to stay at Chelsea, with him claiming earlier this summer that he wants to fight for a place in the squad.

Apart from Dortmund, Hudson-Odoi has also been linked with Serie A side Atalanta.

Recently, Tuchel admitted that Hudson-Odoi might find it hard to play in attacking positions, with him telling the winger to grasp the opportunity once it is handed to him.

Speaking on the club's official website, he said "He waits for a regular chance in the half-left position, but he fights against Mason [Mount], Kai [Havertz], Hakim [Ziyech], Christian [Pulisic], a lot of guys with a lot of quality and with a bit more regular game time and more consistency."

"So it is very hard for him, but we don't have to feel sorry for him. Once the door is a little bit open we demand that he puts his foot in it and makes his mark."

Hudson-Odoi is currently under contract with Chelsea until June 2024, and while he has found minutes hard to come by in recent months, he is still a top talent that is wanted by plenty of clubs.
