Borussia Dortmund are reportedly keen on selling Roman Burki in the summer and are looking at several goalkeepers from the Serie A to replace him.
According to Sky Sport Deutschland, Dortmund are monitoring Wojchiech Szczesny, Bartlomiej Dragowski and Thomas Strakosha, from Juventus, Fiorentina and Lazio respectively.
However, Tuttomercatoweb are claiming that Juventus will not sell their starting goalkeeper unless they manage to sign AC Milan star Gianluigi Donnarumma, with the Rossoneri wanting to extend his contract but finding his financial demands too excessive.
Additionally, Fiorentina are keen on keeping Dragowski too, but he is in great demand due to having an excellent season with the Serie A club, keeping five clean sheets and making a number of important saves.
The more possible option is Strakosha, who has lost his starting spot at Lazio to Pepe Reina this season.
During an interview, Strakosha said "Borussia Dortmund is a great team, very young and talented. I think it will grow a lot in the future, moving there would be interesting, they have a fantastic atmosphere when the stadium is packed. I would be lying if I said I was not interested, who would not be intrigued by the proposal of this kind of club? I am open to new challenges, Rome is my second home but Bundesliga would be an excellent next step for me."
Strakosha has struggled with fitness this season, being infected with COVID-19 in October, as well as having to nurse a thigh problem and also a knee injury, which has led to a change in first-team goalkeepers at the club.
The Albanian goalkeeper has played just eight game in all competitions this season, a disappointing number of games considering that he has played in 174 games during his time at Lazio.
Strakosha is still very young as a goalkeeper, being only 25-years-old, and would be an excellent replacement for Burki, who has struggled massively this season, with Marwin Hitz being consistent in the games that the Swiss goalkeeper has not played in.
