Bayern Munich will be without key French duo Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman for their clash against title challengers RB Leipzig on Saturday.

The German giants will be unable to field Tolisso and Coman in the Bundesliga game against Leipzig this Saturday, with the pair suffering with injuries.

Leipzig were the runners-up to defending champions Bayern last season, and this game could prove to be an opportunity for both sides to showcase their quality in the top flight very early on in the season.

Both teams have important UEFA Champions League away games coming next week, with Bayern playing at the Camp Nou against Barcelona on Tuesday, while Leipzig will face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.

Bayern head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that Bayern will be without Tolisso, who returned from international duty with a calf problem for both the Leipzig and Barcelona games, while Coman will also miss the games with a calf problem, but he could be an option against Barca.

Apart from the pair, Nagelsmann will have an almost full-strength squad to choose from for the game against his former club, with the likes of Thomas Muller, Alphonso Davies, Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernandez all recovering from knocks and injuries that have kept them out of games for club and country recently.

Speaking of his time at Leipzig, Nagelsmann said that "We as a team achieved something in two years in Leipzig and brought a very good spirit to the club".

"I'm looking forward to the game and won't tremble if a few people whistle there."

Apart from Nagelsmann, Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer will also be making their return to the Red Bull Arena, with the latter set to make his Bayern debut against his former club.
