Barcelona are set to continue their increasing focus on youth, as they look to sign more teenage stars like Ansu Fati, this time turning their heads towards Karim Adeyemi, a 17-year-old forward with Nigerian origin.
The Red Bull Salzburg teenage star has so far scored five goals in nine Austrian second division games, as he is spending this season on loan at FC Liefering, one of RB Salzburg's feeder clubs.
His performances this season, which also include four assists, has led to several comparisons to current Barcelona breakout star, Ansu Fati.
Adeyemi, who is a German underage international, has reportedly earned praise from Patrick Kluivert, with the current Barcelona sporting director requesting to sign the talented individual.
The teen could cost Barcelona £7 million, a hefty price for such a young, unproven player, but one that Barcelona are reportedly ready to pay.
Ever since he was appointed back in 2017, Ernesto Valverde has handed debuts to 14 La Masia graduates, and this season he has already handed debuts to Ansu Fati, 16, Carles Perez, 21, Ronald Araujo, 19, as well as Jean-Clair Todibo, 19.
