Aston Villa are plotting an offer for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, who they see as a potential replacement for Jack Grealish.
Grealish's future at Villa has dominated the headlines over the last few weeks, with Manchester City reportedly making an offer, and while Villa do not want to lose their main man, they could be enticed to accept the money and reinvest the money in the rest of the squad.
If Grealish is sold, then finding a replacement for him will become the club's priority, with him being vital to Villa's overall playing style.
While they have signed Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City, the main intention for his signing was for him to play with Grealish, and not act as a replacement, and so they have to keep on looking for possible options in the transfer market.
A potential Norwich raid could be in place, with there being reports about possibly making a move for Todd Cantwell, with them having their eyes on him.
Villa were pushing to sign Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal last month, yet he signed a new contract with the Gunners instead, with Villa turning their attention to other players, such as Leon Bailey, a winger that they have reached an agreement for with Bayer Leverkusen.
According to a report from Homme du Match, Villa are preparing to make a move for Watford's Sarr, who is in high demand after several impressive performances with Watford.
The report from France claims that Villa are set to make an offer of €33 million imminently, giving the Hornets something to consider, despite having Sarr under contract until June 2024.
Sarr is a dynamic forward, who has developed very well with Watford, even scoring 13 goals and providing ten assists in 39 Championship games last season.
Sarr already has experience playing in the Premier League back in his debut season for Watford, with the Senegal international showing clear signs of his quality during the latter stages of the 2019/20 season, scoring six goals and providing six assists in 30 games in all competitions.
While there is still a chance that Grealish could stay at Villa next season, the Midlands club is seemingly still preparing for his possible departure ahead of the start of the season.
