Arsenal to include Lucas Torreira in Thomas Partey swap

Lucas Torreira could prove to be a pivotal player in Arsenal's summer transfer business, with him being one of the few players that Arsenal could demand a hefty fee for and are willing to sell.
Selling Torreira could help fund some of their other transfer business, most notably a move for Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey, a player they have been linked with for plenty of windows.
Torreira has emerged as one of Diego Simeone's top targets, and reports indicate that the Argentine manager has already contacted the Uruguayan midfielder over a move to Spain.
Because of this, Arsenal are set to include the 24-year-old in a swap deal to bring Thomas Partey to the Emirates, thus lowering Atletico Madrid's asking price significantly.
Recently this summer, Torreira has spoken of his uncertain future, stating "I need to think about my future well", adding that he has "a contract with the club and I have to respect it, obviously if I have to leave it will be for the best".
Apart from Atletico, Torreira is also a target for AC Milan, who are joining the hunt as talks with Chelsea over Tiemoue Bakayoko have stalled.
Milan have reportedly sent an enquiry to Arsenal for Torreira.
Fiorentina and Torino have also been linked with Torreira, as a return to Italy seems more and more likely, if he does not move to Atletico.
The Uruguayan has had a hard time to maintain some sort of consistency at Arsenal, and swapping him for Thomas Partey could prove to be a good deal for the Gunners, especially since Arsenal need some form of solidity in midfield to complement Dani Ceballos' creativity.
