Arsenal are set to confirm the signing of Dani Ceballos on a second loan spell from Real Madrid, with reports claiming that it is a 'done deal'.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the transfer is a 'done deal' claiming that the "Paperwork is also signed between Real Madrid and Arsenal for Dani Ceballos", with Arsenal being set to cover the salary of the Spaniard for the season.
Ceballos has reportedly arrived in London and has signed a new deal with Arsenal after refusing offers from other clubs, mainly from clubs in Spain.
The 24-year-old was a regular starter for Arsenal at the end of the 2019/20 season, even playing the full 90 minutes as the Gunners won 2-1 against Chelsea in the FA Cup final in August.
The Spaniard played 37 games in all competitions for Arsenal last season, despite suffering an injury halfway through the season that forced him to miss 11 games.
Ceballos will become Arsenal's fifth signing of the summer, after Cedric Soares, Pablo Mari, Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes.
Ceballos was previously linked with a return to Real Betis, the club that he left to join Real Madrid back in 2017 for a transfer of around £16 million.
Back in July, Ceballos praised Mikel Arteta's influence on his career, saying that Arteta is "living the game constantly".
He added: "He is using me in a position which is unusual for me, as a pivot in front of the defence next to Granit, so I think it's good that he is helping."
"I've felt very comfortable at this club from the beginning", then adding that "The fans accepted me very well and my teammates made everything easy for me. I don't regret my decision to come to Arsenal in any way."
