Arsenal have completed their second signing of the day, by getting William Saliba from Saint-Etienne signed on a long-term contract.
The 18-year-old centre-back will be spending the coming season on loan at Saint-Etienne, and will join up with the Gunners in the 2020/21 season.
Talking about the signing, Arsenal manager Unai Emery stated that "We’re delighted William is joining us. Many teams wanted him but he decided he wanted to come to us and be part of our future. He will stay in France next season for more experience and then we look forward to him joining our group."
William Saliba had a very positive breakthrough season for Saint-Etienne last year, making his professional debut in a 3-2 win over Toulouse back in September 2018, and since then, he has featured on 15 other occasions in Ligue 1 for the club.
Earlier on today, Arsenal announced the signing of Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.
