According to reports, AC Milan have been looking for a right-winger to add to their current crop of players, and LOSC Lille winger Jonathan Ikone has been earmarked as a key target.

A report from Calcio Mercato has stated that AC Milan have made the right-winger position their top priority, and Ikone is on their shortlist, alongside Marseille winger Florian Thauvin and Porto star Otavio.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has been in great form this season, racking up seven goals and five assists for Lille in 35 games, with the club challenging for the Ligue 1 title with Lyon, PSG and AS Monaco.

Ikone is a product of PSG's academy, but after struggling to gain first-team action at the club from the capital, he moved to Lille, and has slowly moved from playing as a central attacking midfielder to the right wing.

Ikone has played for France on four occasions, and he has even scored a goal in one of those games.

The report adds that he would cost around €30 million, but this could prove to be a very astute signing by Milan, especially since their current options in the position, Alexis Saelemaekers and Samu Castillejo, both seem relatively weak when compared to the rest of their first-team.

Ikone has also become notorious for his set-piece ability, even scoring a wonderful free-kick against Lorient to help Lille go top of the table.

The French winger was also extremely impressive against Milan in the UEFA Europa League group stages, providing an assist to one of the goals as Lille thrashed Milan 3-0 in the first game, and then drew 1-1 in the second.
