Mourinho committed to Man United, claims Mendes

Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendes, has revealed that the Portuguese is happy with Manchester Untied, and will not be leaving before the expiration of his contract in 2020.

The manager is said to be under extreme pressure from the board at Manchester United, yet Mendes claims that these rumours are "all untrue".

The Portuguese agent insisted that the manager is not on the move and that he is fully committed to Manchester United, with him telling The Telegraph "Jose is very happy at the club and the club is very happy with him. He has a long-term contract with Manchester United and is fully committed to the club in building a solid winning project."

Mourinho has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the club, mainly to his former club, Real Madrid, who are said to be lining up a move for the manager, despite their current manager, Santiago Solari, impressing after the sacking of Julen Lopetegui.

Mourinho has often voice his opinion on the lack of transfer business done last summer, with Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant being the only first-team signings that the club completed in the last transfer window. This week, Mourinho stated that "Every team got better and we didn't", showing how frustrated he truly is with the business done.

United are currently without a league win in four matches, and are 18 points behind the league leaders, Manchester City, whilst they are only 14 points above Fulham, who are bottom and United's next league opponents.

The Red Devils have shown certain glimpses of getting back to their best, with players such as Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford often being the required spark, yet their defensive frailties have costed them plenty of points this season, with their negative goal difference being the major worrying point for them.

Mourinho will be hoping for an encouraging display and a win against Fulham on Saturday, as they aim to close the gap between them and Chelsea, who are currently eight points above them, and are in the final UEFA Champions League spot.
